Airline Data Researcher Assistant

The main function of the Airline Data Researcher Assistant is to help researchers to maintain data related to airline schedules, contacts, key financial and performance indicators and airports. As a self-motivated and disciplined individual who can perform with the guidance, you will be monitoring airline industry news and data sources and prepare data for implementation to the databases.

The role is mostly research and Excel oriented and will require a detail-oriented mind set, problem solving skills and the ability to work independently. The candidate should be in the final year of studies or available for at least three days a week, preferably full time, Monday to Friday during the administrative office hours.
Given the nature of our work, a passion for aviation is also a strong plus. The position does not require any business travel.

The role will require a solid Excel background with a process/detail-oriented mind set, the ability to work independently and patience.


• Independently research airline industry data
• Collect, organize and prepare data for evaluation using a variety of reference sources
• Manage data gathering for certain data sets
• Research and compile data for data services projects
• Work with other data team members and senior management
• Meeting deadlines in execution of all tasks

Required Skills
• Excellent command of English language, both oral and written
• Verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, critical thinking
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with other team members, problem solve, self-organize
• Ability to follow workflows
• Solid Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook)
• Must be able to keep data and information confidential

Optional Skills
• Previous (airline) data research experience
• Previous experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
• Previous experience with LinkedIn
• Knowledge/experience in the aviation industry is a big plus

Other requirements:
• The candidate has an active student status in Croatia and can be employed on a student contract basis.
• Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
